DESCRIPTION: Safety Net is a Non-profit social service agency providing emergency assistance to poor & needy who have exhausted limits, resources, or services of other agencies. We have an on-site mini-pantry, emergency clothing, vouchers for emergency food, transportation, medical or rent assistance. We are staffed by one or 2 volunteers every afternoon we are open.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: Receptionist, client data base
input/output, hands on service assistant.

TIME COMMITMENT: One afternoon per week, but if only a few
hours...okay!

Volunteer training provided by Director.

*Walking distance from the University of Scranton.
