Description
DESCRIPTION: The mission of the LRCA is to involve citizens of the Lackawanna River watershed with conservation and stewardship of the River, its tributaries, and water resources. The LRCA works pro-actively with other non profit organizations, community groups, and public agencies to plan and promote projects and fundraising events that will enhance the Lackawanna River Watershed and support local communities. STUDENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: Volunteer activities are integral to the operation of the LRCA. We have volunteer opportunities year-round which include both office and field work. Office opportunities include administration assistance, communications, and PR assistance. Field opportunities include River, Trail, and Preserve Conservancy Preserve Stewardship, native plant rescue, River and Trail policing and more, photography TIME COMMITMENT: Variable Training will be provided. This site is located on COLTS bus route 54 Green Ridge/Dickson City.
