Description
Brand new state-of-the-art 22-bed short-stay post-hospital rehabilitation unit.  We provide skilled nursing, medical and rehabilitative care. Our on-site nurse practitioner, attending physicians and caring staff are focused on providing each patient with their own personalize treatment program to get each back to their optimum potential. Linwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is found nestled in the mountains of northeastern, PA, just steps from scenic Lake Scranton and minutes from the historical downtown area. Linwood Nursing and Rehabilitation is a non-profit facility, managed by Genesis HealthCare.

STUDENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:  To assist with planned
activities, help with outings into the community, one to one
room visits, and perform for residents if they have a talent they
would like to share.  Developing educational quizzes, picture books.  



TIME COMMITMENT:  25 hours per semester

A tour of the facilities and a demonstration of all activities
will be provided. Residents' rights, rules, and regulations of 
facility will be explained.
