Description
DESCRIPTION:  The Dunmore Senior Citizens Center provides mature
citizens in the Boroughs of Throop and Dunmore, located in
Lackawanna County, with nutritional meals, health screenings,
health and social education, exercise and dance programs, arts
and crafts opportunities, and fine arts education in a non
threatening environment at a reduced rate or at no cost to the
needy.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:  Geronotology, Social Work, Computer
Science, Recreation etc.  Opportunities exist for student
volunteers matriculating in Human Services or Human Sciences to
enhance their academic experience by being a part of an
intergenerational program.

FACULTY/STAFF VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:  Geronotology, Social
Work, Computer Science, Recreation etc.  Educational Programs
exist for Faculty/Staff Volunteers who wish to share their
knowledge and expertise.

TIME COMMITMENT REQUIRED FOR VOLUNTEERS: Varies.

VOLUNTEER TRAINING/AGENCY ORIENTATION AVAILABLE: Yes, depends
upon needs of the students.
