Quigley's Shelter Pets is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to aiding stray, feral, and abandoned cats in Lackawanna County and the greater NEPA area. Quigley's is a no-kill rescue and shelter and is bringing opportunities helping animals to others within the community, and intends to be part of a greater outreach program of compassion in the future. Our mission is to: • Rescue sick, injured, or at-risk cats or other small homeless animals in our area of operation and provide immediately-needed veterinary care. • Function as a no kill organization. • Provide permanent shelter, food, loving attention, and ongoing medical care to improve quality of life for the rest of the lives of our rescued animals. • Focus our attention on rescue of pets that are less adoptable due to age, handicap, or temperament. • Engage the local community in “Lending-a-Heart" through fundraising efforts, kindness toward at-risk animals, and spay/neuter awareness. • Compassionately and responsibly work toward a more humane situation for animals in our locality and globally. Volunteers needed We are presently looking for help in every area of skill level and expertise in maintaining our shelter organization and in direct care of the cats.
