Description
Agency Mission:  To provide free legal services to low income Lack
awanna County residents in urgent civil cases by matching them with 
attorneys who have agreed to donate their services.

Lackawanna Pro Bono is a non-profit organization founded in 1997.  It 
has a staff of two.

Student Volunteer Opportunities:  Student volunteers would answer 
phones, screen applicants for the organization's services by gathering
information from the applicants regarding their legal problems and 
their household income and assets, and would generally assist in the 
office.

Time Commitment:  2 - 3 hours per week for a two semester commitment.

Training:  Students will be trained by the Executive Director
