DESCRIPTION: The Fricchione Day Care Center is a great place for kids to learn and grow. It is open to the children of Marywood's staff, faculty, and students. Other children may enroll if space permits.

The Fricchione Center provides quality child care to those who wish to pursue career, personal, or educational goals. It is founded on the belief that children learn through interaction with other children and adults. The program strives to meet the developmental needs of each child within a multi-age group setting.

STUDENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:  Many and varied - specifically
interaction with young children, e.g. playing games, reading stories,
music activities, one-to-one and/or group interaction.

FACULTY/STAFF VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:  Same as above.  In
addition, if they have a special skill, idea, or research to
conduct, that can be discussed with the director.  Also, faculty/staff
can speak or lead a discussion at a parent meeting or lead a training
session for teachers.

TIME COMMITMENT: Varies according to volunteer availability, flexible according to the center's open hours.

Volunteer Training/Orientation Available?   Orientation and tour of campus provided.  Volunteers require child abuse, state police, sex offender registry, FBI fingerprinting clearances.
