Description
The Scranton School for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Children, a non-profit, tuition-free school located in Northeast Pennsylvania, provides a variety of academic and extracurricular programs to Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing children from birth through the 8th grade. The Scranton School’s barrier-free, all-inclusive communication environment meets the needs of the individual student. American Sign Language, Sign Supported English and Spoken English are all incorporated to promote the academic, social, emotional and physical development of our students. Clearances for volunteers are required: FBI, child abuse, state police, TB test. ASL classes are provided for community members.
