Description
DESCRIPTION:  The Office of Youth Ministry sponsors diocesan-wide
activities to help young people participate more fully in
Christian life.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:  The office will place college students
in area parishes to participate in the Leadership of their youth
programs.  Typical activities might include developing and
implementing activities within youth groups, assisting with youth
recreation programs, involvement with days of recollection or
retreats.  There is also a need for students to assist in
research, planning, publicity, etc. in the office for diocesan
sponsored events.  This placement would be more administrative
and organizational in nature.

TIME COMMITMENT:  2-3 hours weekly, but varies by parish.

Volunteer training is available through organized training
programs.
